Bad News on the Flea Front

7-10 days after treating the house, residual flea eggs hatch and your home and pets are re-infested. Today was day 9. Obviously, I announced prematurely that we were a "flea free environment". We invited our exterminator out again at 8:30 this morning. Begged would be more accurate. Spraying our house again meant loading all pets into their kennels, loading all kennels into the car and driving around for 3 hours with 6 pets in varying states of harmony for a very long time. We documented the event for your viewing pleasure. : )

Everybody loaded in the car and ready to go!
A very vocal Maggie...

A somewhat bewildered Abby...
A bummed out Callie...
A bored Shasta...
and Sophie & BC, who were sure they could have taken the fleas...
The only thing missing was Willie Nelson in the background singing, "On the Road Again"...

Oh, my.

The only pet we have at the moment is a sole surviving goldfish. Goldfish do not do fleas, a fact for which I am incredibly grateful at the moment.

This isn't very encouraging for a brand new pet owner! LOL My friend said she uses Sevin Dust sprinkled on the carpet with great effectiveness.
